After huge stage success the play was filmed by Billy Wilder in 1957, starring Tyrone Power (in his last completed film role), Marlene Dietrich and Charles Laughton. It won many awards, including nominations for seven Oscars and was the year's Number One Box Office hit worldwide.
Leading this tour de force cast is Denis Lill (star of the highly acclaimed series, The Royal), Ben Nealon (Soldier, Soldier), and Robert Duncan who played Gus Hedges in the multi-award-winning comedy Drop the Dead Donkey. Peter Byrne and 60’s teen idol Mark Wynter round out this all star cast.
Emily French, an elderly woman who recently left her considerable estate to the charming young Leonard, is found dead. Murdered.
